Who are we
The Hannau gallery occupies itself principally with Biedermeier and Art Deco. We offer a highly original idea for furnishing homes. Innovative 19th century furniture from Austria, and original pieces from the start of the 1900s, are paired with objects in glass such as standard lamps and sconces/wall lamps of rare beauty and charm.
In the energetic search for ever more remarkable and desirable pieces, a person who enters the gallery will often remain fascinated to such an extent that they do not wish to leave.
The furniture, glassware and objects
on show in our gallery in Rome, form part of a vast collection which comprises pieces from the start of the 1800s up to the early decades of the 1900s, and, even on occasion, to pieces from the middle of the 20th century.
The gallery has for a long time collaborated with the best architects, supplying them with pieces of undeniable value with which they can beautifully furnish and decorate their projects, thereby delighting their clients with this touch of elegance. The shop in Via dei Coronari in Rome is a must-see for any avid collector of pieces from this period.
Annamaria Hannau
belongs to a family of antiquarians, in which it was her grandfather who first instilled in her a passion for art; education, hard work and an innate instinct did the rest.
After gaining much experience in Turin, where she was born, and in San Remo, participating at the major exhibitions in this sector in the north, she finally realised her dreams of moving to the beautiful city of art, Rome, where she opened an original and unequalled gallery.
She identifies with the tastes of the client, helping them to choose the right piece to add to their collections.
Tenacity, sensitivity, creativity and love for the work, make Annamaria an antiquarian of unequalled talent and character.
